Want to make a contribution in your community? Your hospice gift stays close to home. Chances are that your family or someone you know has benefited from services offered by our hospice.

Every gift you make supports our mission to provide excellent patient care through our committed team of doctors, on site respiratory therapist, nurse practitioner, nurses, social workers, chaplains, certified nursing assistants, volunteers, and bereavement staff.

 

Hospice and Palliative Care of the Blue Ridge  is a non-profit organization. As such we are not pressured by share holders to make a profit. This enables us to provide patient care and community services with the funds that are given to us.

Services are provided based solely on need, regardless of ability to pay or type of insurance. 

 

Donations and gifts are tax deductible and you will receive a receipt for you donation.

 

Giving Options:

• Traditional Monetary Gifts- Every dollar counts and every gift is acknowledged

• Tribute Gifts-A card is sent to the individual or family acknowledge gifts made "in honor of" or in memory of a loved one

• Planned Gifts- Charitable gift annuities or estate gifts, including bequests and trusts

• Radford Fund or Bridging the Gap Fund – earmark your gift to one of these special funds that enable us to provide items not covered by Medicare/Medicaid or private insurance, but are deemed necessary by our agency for the additional comfort and care of our patients and families.  Previous donations have included support items such as, but not limited to:                             

• Lift chairs necessary for mobility

• Nutritional supplements

• Assistance building wheel chair ramps

• Fire wood

• Fans, heaters and air conditioning units

• Items given through Radford or Bridging the Gap funds are based on availability of funds and are not guaranteed.
